At the headquarters of the familyowned enterprise in Voorschoten near Den Haag the Dutch hotel chain Van der Valk has opened its first supermarket – with a unique store concept. The focus is on enjoyment – from fresh meat to fish, cheese, bread, wine, coffee or fruit and vegetables. The product assortment is rounded off by eating areas offering culinary delights that invite custome rs to linger. In this way the wellknown brand transfers its expertise in fine foods and drink from its restaurant operations to the retail trade – an exciting and innovative approach.
And the Valk Versmarkt is also at the leading edge when it comes to light: carefully positioned and aligned BÄRO spotlights and suspended luminaires featuring LED technology create a pleasant and appealing atmosphere. Their light colours are tailored to the respective product groups to present bread, fresh meat, fruit and vegetables to best advantage. Pendiro EC luminaires are used for general lighting and the golden colour of their decorative metal shades produces a particularly warm light effect.
